#Climatechange in #Mozambique

The first cyclone to affect #mozambique occurred in 2019.#cyclone Idai, caused by tropical depression, caused floods that killed hundreds of people and injured more than 111 people. More than 5,756 houses were destroyed, while 15,467 houses were affected and hundreds of people were left homeless, including children, the elderly and the disabled.
In 2019, the country was hit by Cyclone #idai and, in the same year, it suffered again drastically with #cyclone Kenneth, which also killed hundreds of people and left thousands homeless in the north and center of the country. In 2021, the same areas were hit again two years later, creating a real catastrophe, as the victims had not yet recovered from the previous #cyclones. Many people are still without food, shelter and medical care.
