It ain't always about Marlin. The Diggin the Jiggin series by FishBazaruto.com takes us out of the fighting chair and hands-on catching bait and often dinner.

Honeycomb Grouper

This vibrantly designed Honeycomb Grouper fell victim to a well-presented jig fished off the good ship Vamizi. Chiefly a marlin fishing boat, Vamizi adapts super to jigging with her 360-degree walkaround design.

Catching bait can be a challenge sometimes. But not doing it this way. In amongst the reef fish and kingfish are the bonnies, scads and other great marlin baits.

Marlin Season

Is right about NOW! It might be a tad early for the big fish. They normally show up October or so. But the weather has played along recently and the fleet is out there hunting every day possible.

The big fish are here to congregate and breed in the nutrient-rich waters found out off the Bazaruto shelf. The big females are most times spotted with an entourage of male suitors. Which is a reason for the multiple strikes we often get.
