Disaster preparedness Is not an overnight thing and even developed countries where they have cyclones and hurricanes for centuries still struggle to cope with it. It requires extensive management, enormous resources which Africa does not have, and effective nationwide disaster preparedness and emergency response something that even developed countries like Japan, USA still struggle with. The forces of nature are not easy to tame. Africa requires great assistance to be able to plan and cope with this new phenomena in the continent.
