Cyclone possibilities for Australia in the next 7 days

02/09/2026 · Force Thirteen

Descrição

Tropical signals continue to fire across the Indian Ocean, with computer models trending much further east than previously, bringing Western Australia within reach. Two systems could form in the next week in the Indian Ocean, and could both reach hurricane force winds as they approach Western Australia. One of these storms could make a powerful landfall early next week. Elsewhere, in the Mozambique Channel, we're still watching a potential storm along the coast of Madagascar which continues to dump heavy rainfall, although the circulation is exposed. This system could still develop as it swings across towards Mozambique this weekend. In the South Pacific, a tropical cyclone could form near Vanuatu over the weekend and threaten the southern coast and islands of Fiji. Not really much going on in the tropics atm, but there could be more cyclones forming, threats to land not yet known at this time... However, while we are waiting for more TC activity, the extremely anomalously warm oceans across the world is a ticking time bomb... All the while the El Nino is showing signs of possible weakening, and here in the ATL, the extremely warm oceans coupled with more dire predictions are beginning to rear their ugly heads. Only time will tell about the oncoming season...
