Cyclone Joaninha expected to batter Rodrigues - 7pm MUT March 25, 2019

With hurricane force gusts already occuring on the island, Cyclone Joaninha is making its presence felt. Class IV warnings are in effect in Rodrigues, with hurricane conditions likely later tonight and tomorrow accompanied by up to 400 mm of rain. Catastrophic conditions are possible, with Joaninha currently a Stage 7 on the CDPS scale with further strengthening possible before it strikes Rodrigues.
