Cyclone Freddy bothering Madagascar again - March 5, 2023
Descrição
Cyclone Freddy came back from the dead yesterday in the Mozambique Channel, and is once again harassing the coast of southwestern Madagascar with winds near 60 miles per hour (95kph) and heavy rainfall, particularly along the extreme coastal region of Atsima-Andrefana. The storm is likely to stall over the next 24-36 hours, before starting to power off towards the northwest and strengthening as it picks up speed. A major hurricane equivalent landfall cannot be ruled out once again for the coast of Mozambique, this time near Quelimane by next weekend, but forecast confidence remains very low both in track and timing.
Heavy prolonged rainfall is expected over large parts of Madagascar and Mozambique, with many areas over 200mm expected. On top of the storm's first passage last week, this is likely to exacerbate flooding problems, and flash flooding is expected near the landfall zone where over 400mm of rain could fall in a short period.

This storm is insane it already died and yet again somehow revived itself and also this storm is going to be a record for the longest living storm worldwide the whole month and still had days left into it, and this storm is an ace generator it might challenge Ioke depends if it intensifies even more and the advantage of being it into warm waters.

Cyclone Freddy would never die! He may last a few more days, breaking Leon-Eline's Record back in 2000!

I think Freddy has a chance of being the longest lasting tropical cyclone on record.

Cyclone Freddy is tied with John with 31 days alive and it will likely last longer making it the longest tropical cyclone, only cyclone to do four rapid intensification cycles, one of four cyclones to traverse the entire Indian ocean, highest ace in south hemisphere, could be longest tracked in southern hemisphere and potentially all time, and a bit unrealistic but it could get to around 82 ACE and I think it was 69 last I checked and I think it will get 75 - 80
