Cyclone Emnati Live Coverage - 6pm EAT February 21

The east coast of Madagascar remains in a dangerous situation as Cyclone Emnati continues to approach the nation, being the 4th cyclone to affect them in this season alone. Expected to hit as an Intense Tropical Cyclone from Météo-France's latest advisory, it's rated as a Stage 8 in the CDPS scale, with strong winds, dangerous storm surge and flooding rains being the main threats.

Meteo Madagascar has issued red, yellow and green warnings for much of the country. Their latest warning information is as follows:

Red Alert (Imminent Danger): Provinces of ATSINANANA, VATOVAVY and FITOVINANY;

Yellow Alert (Threat): Provinces of ANALANJIROFO, ATSIMO ATSINANANA, ANOSY, VAKINANKARATRA, AMORON'I MANIA, MATSIATRA AMBONY, IHOROMBE, ATSIMO ANDREFANA, ANDROY, MANGORO, MANJAKANDRIANA, ANDRAMASINA, ANTANANARIVO AVARADRANO, ANTANANARIVO ATSIMONDRANO, ANTANANARIVO RENIVOHITRA, AMBOHIDRATRIMO and ARIVONIMAMO;

Green Alert (Warning): Provinces of ALAOTRA, BONGOLAVA, MENABE, ANJOZOROBE, ANKAZOBE, SOAVINANDRIANA and MIARINARIVO.
