Descrição

Tropical cyclone Gombe made landfall in northern Mozambique early Friday morning. The wind speed reached 200 km/h, causing significant damage to the country's homes and infrastructure. More than 2,200 houses were damaged in Nampula province, hundreds of trees were downed, water and mobile communications were cut off. About 300,000 families were left without electricity. Heavy rains also caused flooding in low-lying areas. The World Meteorological Organization said Gombe made landfall as a severe Category 3 cyclone. After hitting the mainland, the wind speed dropped to 130 km/h. Although the wind has eased, torrential rains for several days pose a threat of flooding to Mozambique and southern Malawi. The city of Nampula, home to over 750,000 people, could see a month's rainfall this weekend. Unstable weather conditions in southern Africa are directly linked to global warming and climate change, experts say.

Read The Quran, is the truth from God Quran 2:155-156, We will certainly test you with a touch of fear and famine and loss of property, life, and crops. Give good news to those who patiently endure, who, when faced with a disaster, say, “Surely to God we belong and to Him we will ˹all˺ return.”
