CHECKING INTO MOZAMBIQUE! After spending the night at Inhaca, we sail across the bay to the capital city of Mozambique, Maputo. Admire some of the local architecture before having a frustrating check-in experience.
Checking into Mozambique, in the city of Maputo, is challenging and time consuming.

Just before heading back, we see a gale forecasted for Inhaca Island and decide to sit it out in the Maputo Bay where it is a manageable 28 knots.

Dodging fishing dhows and shallow sandbanks, we sail back to Inhaca Island to start our adventure!

Nice edit guys. That bay is just so special for me having navigated it for the past 20 years. Very special place 😊. Checking in with private sailboats is an uncommon thing so they really are not in tune with it. Pity as it is frustrating at times. The dirty water in the city area is 3 rivers flowing in there and the shipping channel is kinda the divide. Only a few days a year in winter when there has been no rain and no wind and the sea is a pond it’s very flat and clear

I feel the frustration guys RE Mozambique I used to have a company in that country spent 1 week of every month there for years and could never understand all the hoops you must jump through all the time .
