Black Mamba Hiding Above a Bed in a Safari Lodge!
Descrição
In this episode of Snakes in the Hoed, Tim and Pep are called to a beautiful safari lodge in the Greater Kruger area just outside Hoedspruit, where staff have discovered a Black Mamba hiding high up in the wooden beams beneath the thatched roof of a guest room.
With the mamba several metres above the ground, Tim has to climb a large ladder to get close enough to attempt the rescue. But with a steep ladder, a highly venomous snake and a guest room far below, getting the mamba safely back down proves to be quite a challenge.
Eventually, Tim has to make an unusual decision: rather than trying to climb down the ladder with the Black Mamba, the snake has to be dropped onto the mosquito net below.
Join us for another real-life snake rescue from the South African bush.

Uh, held my breath while Tim was so high up on that ladder. A precarious position indeed for both Tim and lady snake. I'm sure she will have an issue with the lodge management - her booking obviously got lost in translation! I always smile at Pep's nervousness when a snake is released in big 5 countryside. Thank you Tim for saving another life and thank you Pep for excellent photography and editing skills.

Watching from my nice low easy chair and happy I haven’t had to climb for many of my Texas snake relocations. I have TERRIBLE vertigo! Just watching all your gyrations up that ladder had me spinning, Tim!
