I just got home 4 days ago from a MSC cruise on the Seashore. I booked an inside cabin, letting MSC pick my cabin. 3 days after booking, was upgraded to a balcony. Very pleased with cabin. This was not my first MSC cruise, never have picked my own cabin, never been disappointed.

I just got off the MSC Seashore, 5 day trip from Orlando, to Nassau and Ocean Cay. Didn't need the drink package at all. MSC picked my balcony cabin and had zero problems. Unlike other ships, I didnt get an early internet package discount, but luckily I didn't need it as Nassau & Ocean Cay had just enough 4G signal. I did like that the cruise allowed us to drop any carry-ons into our rooms even when they weren't ready during embarkation. Best part of the trip was the 1.5 days we were in Ocean Cay. Its really a relaxing, relatively quiet island. The only real annoyances on this trip were dining wise. The food was good, but the execution of the dining services was just bad. First and foremost, no enforcement on hand washing in the dining areas. After COVID and all the viruses that are known to go through ships, this was inexcusable. You can't get drinks during dinner in the main dining room. My dining time was too early. The buffet design was just bad. And depending on what side you got your food on dictated what you were offered and the quality/taste of it. And then on Ocean Cay, I didn't get a clear closing time for the island buffets. Again, just poor organization of the food service.

The biggest negative to working with a travel agent is that you must go to them for ANY change or add on. The cruise line will not assist you at all. We have cruised 11 times and have 3 more booked. All of them we booked directly with the cruise line. A great tip she provided was to print out everything just in case. One cruise our drinks and dining packages were removed at some point. The front desk couldn't figure it out. I had everything printed and PDFs of the cruise booking information saved a few times. I was able to use the documents and PDFs on my computer to show we never removed them and what dates they were still on our account.
