alerts remain in place across Newfoundland and Labrador — and
conditions are still dangerous right now.
In this update, I break down every active alert region by region:
✅ Wind Warning — Channel-Port-aux-Basques: gusts up to 100 km/h
✅ Snowfall Warning — Northern Peninsula East & Port Saunders:
up to 5cm more expected
✅ Special Weather Statement — Green Bay, White Bay, Parson's Pond,
Hawke's Bay: 5–10cm additional snowfall
✅ Special Weather Statement — Red Bay to Norman Bay, Labrador:
15–25cm total accumulation

- Overnight Saturday → Sunday: Peak intensity, heaviest snowfall
- Sunday morning: Still active — wind, snow, reduced visibility
- Sunday afternoon: Wind warning lifts at Channel-Port-aux-Basques
- Sunday evening: Snowfall eases across Northern Peninsula & Labrador
- Sunday night: System clears province-wide
- Monday: Improving — but roads still need time to clear
